It's one day before my plane leaves from Ljubljana. And naturally, my backpack is empty. So what am I taking with me?
I will just point out a few things that come to my mind:
- Mosquito net
- Waterproof toiletry bag
- Duct Tape
- Copies of documents
Required documents and chemicals
In the next few months, I am going to visit 5 countries. You need a visa for all of them. You can get some of them as you arrive, other you have to buy in advance. Sure, everything depends on how long you are staying and what the purpose of your visit is. So I had to buy one for India(52€) and for Thailand(30€). Both were ready in a week. For both you need a plane ticket in advance (depends on the type of visa), a photography(be careful here), a form and a valid passport.
Second most imporatnt thing before you leave, is a plane ticket! I was looking for one here skyscanner.net, travelgenio.us, budgedAir, flugladen.at and skypicker.com but there are probably many more similar sites.
The third thing are chemicals! I was vaccinated for Hepatitis A and Tifus(66€). Since I had been vaccinated for Hepatitis B when I was a child, there was no need to do it again (it holds for a lifetime). There are also other options.. vaccination against rabies, pills for malaria etc. For all vaccinations is responsible National Institute for Public Health.
Let me just say one or two words about my "blog". I will post photos from my travels and write a few thoughts of what I have learnt along the way. All those experiences might not be all the best practices and are probably not even true. Heh, just kidding, I will try to do my best. Enjoy!
